How It Works
Add-On Cooling consists of one outdoor and one indoor unit. The indoor unit is connected to your Ducted Heating system, effectively enabling it to provide both air-conditioning and heating through the same ducts and outlets. The ducting size for Add-On Cooling is larger than for ducted heating, which is why it can only be added to specially designed systems. Like other systems that we provide it has the ability to be zoned, to help accommodate and effectively cool larger homes.
- Very quiet operation
- Cost effective system
- Effective operation regardless of outside conditions (very hot or humid)
- Ability to have zones – Cool only the rooms you are using.
- Entire home cooling solution.
A zone allows you to turn off certain areas of the system when not in use, in order to save power and running costs. A zone can be your bedroom areas, living room, bathroom or any combination of rooms that you desire. As the Add-On Cooling system joins to your already existing Ducted Heating system, it will adopt the same zoning specifications.
In order to be able to use your zones, you need to have a ‘Common Zone’ on your system. This common zone is an area that is always on, to be able to prevent any damage to the heating unit if all the zones are accidently turned off
Prices on Add-On Cooling Systems depend on the size of the house and zoning requirements.
